La Joya Dulce: Colorado Ranch Wedding Venue

Winter, winter, winter, winter wedding

We saw a report that January 17, 2019 was Steamboat Springs’ snowiest day in the last two years. No problem — it was a great day for a Steamboat Springs ranch wedding at La Joya Dulce. Congratulations to our brave couple, Gary and Ashley Griffin!

Ashley decided she wanted an outdoor winter wedding, and she did not let the weather deter her.

Our huge event pavilion (12,000 square feet) faces our ceremony meadow. We asked Ashley just before her ceremony whether to set up the chairs inside, or outside in the snowy meadow. “Outside,” she said. But the pavilion was still useful — the guests and wedding party stayed sheltered from the storm before taking their seats and their places at the altar.

La Joya Dulce is the only barn wedding venue in Steamboat Springs. We are certain that after braving the snow, Ashley and Gary’s guests appreciated the warmth of the barn for their wedding banquet.

Ashley and Gary decided to hold their ceremony outside. If you want a winter wedding on a ranch in Steamboat Springs, but you don’t want to sit or stand in the snow, the inside of the La Joya Dulce pavilion is the perfect spot. We can roll up three big doors at the end, so guests can stay dry and still enjoy the view.
