Mandy's Masterpiece

Jordyn Zuniga and Austin Little wanted a big, beautiful floral display for their Steamboat Springs ranch wedding at La Joya Dulce. Mandy (La Joya Dulce’s wedding manager) is great with flowers, and she has decorated the wedding arch many times. But the size of this display made it a challenge.

It would have been risky to build the huge, fragile display before hanging it on the arch. So Mandy first hung floral foam, soaked in water, then arranged the flowers.

Jordyn and Austin had a mid-morning brunch wedding. You never know what weather might blow in overnight, so the display could not be prepared the day before. So Mandy created it in the morning before the ceremony. It turned out to be sturdy! About an hour after Jordyn and Austin’s reception, an afternoon hailstorm below in. The flowers survived just fine.

We’d love to decorate the arch for your Steamboat Springs ranch wedding!
