What do you think of this church?

Ben Saheb (www.benjaminweddingfilms.com) produced a wonderful video of Kristen and Mark Stanford’s beautiful August ranch wedding at La Joya Dulce.

We love this film! If you have not yet visited La Joya Dulce, the film is a great introduction to our ranch. We strive to offer many features to our clients, and Ben’s film shows how Kristen and Mark wove those features into their fantastic Steamboat Springs ranch wedding.

The entire video was filmed at La Joya Dulce. We overlook the scenic Elk River Valley, and there are overhead shots that give a taste of our views. As the minister says on the film, “Looking around, what do you think of this church?”

The film shows the bride’s party getting ready in one of our fully-equipped preparation areas (we have another, separate preparation area not shown in the film). Kristen and Mark’s reception dinner (275 guests) was held in our huge pavilion. (There was room to spare — our permit allows up to 400.) They had cocktails and dancing both inside and outside our event barn, with the band set up inside the barn. (Did you know La Joya Dulce has Steamboat's only event barn? )

Daisy, our 1939 Jaguar “replicar,” has a prominent role. Daisy is included with upgraded packages for our couples to use on-site. Mark drove Daisy to our pond to stage the couple's “first look,” and it is caught wonderfully on the film.

La Joya Dulce has horses. Kristen and Mark rode to their reception on horseback, with Kristen riding sidesaddle as befits a beautiful bride. We do charge extra to use the horses, and their availability varies by season, so contact us if you are interested.

Maybe it sounds simple, but our favorite compliment is when our guests tell us they had fun — a Steamboat Springs ranch wedding should be fun! What we love most about Ben’s film is that it shows Kristen, Mark and their guests having a whole lot of fun. What a great keepsake for Kristen and Mark!
