What’s Your Style?

When it comes to photography, we all are drawn to particular photos. Photos are an important part of any couple's day here having their classic Colorado ranch wedding. The important thing for you is to be comfortable with your photographer ... and to get photos that you will cherish and that will evoke the best of memories in 20 years.

Since Wayne is a wonderful photographer in his own right, people often ask us for referrals (and no, Wayne doesn't do wedding photography!). We can tell you whether someone is technically proficient, but it's up to you to determine what your own style is. So let's break it out for you!

Scroll through our slide show below to find your style. We've captioned each with the style and the photographer who shot them. We've tried to choose photos that are similar in content so you can directly compare them. Then? If you want more description, keep scrolling!

And if you want your memories to be photographed here, let us know!

Brown Toned

Brown tones are very popular right now - and they blend well with many themes we find for a ranch wedding. Think rustic, casual, even vintage - and this trendy style may well be for you. While laid back, this is a more artistic style.

Color Toned

Are you independent and playful? A little quirky? Photographers who process in this style are usually innovative and rely on their technology skills to heavily filter their work to deliver a more youthful feel. These are photos that often have a blue or green tone to them ... and we're even seeing pinks now!

Cool Tones

How does this differ from color toned? Especially since blue is a cool tone? The biggest difference is that these won't look as processed - the feel is bright and fresh. Think happiness and sunshine! Think beach usually, although this style works well with outdoor weddings such as we have here at La Joya Dulce.

Black and White

Classic. Traditional. Think of having your photographer process a couple of your most intimate moments as black and white. We've included an example of a set of the bridal portrait in both color and black and white.

Real World

Real world uses the colors that are there. Maybe they bump them up in intensity a bit - this is Colorado after all and you expect sunsets to be spectacular! Real world photos are timeless - yet remain approachable and authentic - and you'll find a balance between the nature and people in them. Wayne shoots "real world" and we've included a shot of his that has a sunset, much like the couple that will also be in the slide show.
