La Joya Dulce: Colorado Ranch Wedding Venue

Frontline Heroes

This quote is so applicable for the staff at La Joya Dulce. Our staff members are multi-talented and above all - they care about their families, their community, and our incredible couples who choose to say "I do" to our view, our ranching lifestyle and the spirit that is all pervasive here at Steamboat's best barn and ranch wedding venue.

"Best" is often subjective. It could be based on awards (we are Steamboat's only award winning venue). It could be based on reviews (those are pretty darn good as well). But for us? It's based on the people. This week, our local newspaper, The Steamboat Pilot, chose to recognize two of our staff members as Frontline Heroes. This was a special feature done based on those who stepped up during the pandemic.

Rachel Sisto is one of our staff members. She also works at Wells Fargo Bank. Rachel has an amazing smile, an innate sense of design, and she isn't afraid of hard work. While this recognizes Rachel for her work at Wells, she has that same attitude here at La Joya Dulce.

Business owner, Kathie Jacobsen, was also recognize. This more directly for her work with all of the local wedding venues in order to bring recognition from the city and county as to the importance of weddings to the local economy. For those of you who had weddings in 2020, as well as those who delayed, Kathie's patience in interpreting guidelines and still hold memorable, dream weddings here was pretty remarkable. We have heard the tales of businesses that failed (failure is not an option) as well as those that did not care. La Joya Dulce worked hard (and continues to do so) to ensure compliant events that were still fun.
